Delaware Special To Believe This Bob

Ross Wolfenden sent Believe This Bob four-wide turning for home and closed for a 1:51 victory in Thursday’s $25,000 Delaware Special at Dover Downs.

Nova Artist took the lead heading to the clubhouse turn and led, with last week’s winner Papa Ray pressing on the outside around the final turn. The stretch became a four-horse battle, with Believe This Bob the fastest in 1:51. Mustang Art was next best, with Papa Ray claiming third prize in the featured tilt.

The victory was the fourth of the meet for Mary Ann Larrimore’s family horse, Believe This Bob, a Beach Romeo-Believe This Gal gelding. His 24 career trip to the winner’s circle brings his lifetime earnings to $255,895.
