In a segment scheduled to run during the Sunday, January 9 episode of '60 Minutes' on CBS, interviewer Lesley Stahl and outgoing Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell passionately spar over the topic of casino and
racino gaming.
In an advance clip of some of the exchanges between the two during the interview, Gov. Rendell verbally strikes at Stahl and her colleagues, as he emotionally says, “You guys don’t get that,” in reference to the State of Pennsylvania benefitting from casino gaming by its citizens by returning money to Pennsylvania instead of to Atlantic City in the State of New Jersey.
Stahl responds, “I do get that,” but Rendell, clearly angered, goes on, saying, “You’re simpletons, you’re idiots if you don’t get that.”
