After five seasons of stallion duty in New York and then Kentucky, 2015 Dan Patch Award and Breeders Crown winner Boston Red Rock will have a new base of operations in 2024.
Crystal Springs Stables of Ohio along with Melinda Farms of Kentucky have announced that Boston Red Rocks p,1:48.2f ($1,486,357) will stand at Crystal Springs Stables for the 2024 breeding season. Boston Red Rocks was the top-ranked sire by average earnings per starter in 2023, as reported in the 2023 Breeders Book.
Boston Red Rocks, a son of Rocknroll Hanover out of the McArdle mare McGibson, is a proven producer from very small crops. His offspring includes 2023 New York Sire Stakes two-year-old champion Boston Rocks.
Crystal Springs Stables and Melinda Farms are offering an introductory deal, slashing Boston Red Rocks‘ stud fee from $6,000 to $3,000 for the first 25 mares booked.
