Fresh from a front-pacing victory last week, San Fran Lady N stepped up to the $20,000 Mares Open and came from behind to score a 1:53.3 win on a chilly Monday, Jan. 6 at Dover Downs.
Reined by Tony Morgan, the fourth leading driver in North America, this time San Fran Lady closed with a rush for a nose victory for owner/trainer Peter Tritton.
San Fran Lady is now a 20-race winner in her career -- first down under and twice since coming to the U.S. The eight-year-old is by American-breds Live Or Die and Emcil, a Miles McCool mare.
Destined shortly for the Meadowlands sales ring, Yagonnakissmeornot, driven by Montrell Teague, put in a game effort to finish second. Jeremes Sweetheart and Ron Pierce took show money.
