Pacer Topcornerterror and trotter Spartan Victory were both wire-to-wire winners in a pair of $7,000 Preferred 3 events co-featured on Sunday night's harness racing card at Flamboro Downs.
Topcornerterror ($4.40) romped to a 10 length victory in the $7,000 Preferred 3 Pace for horses and geldings, stopping the clock in 1:56.1 over the "good" track. Jonathan Drury drove the nine-year-old Western Terror gelding for trainer Des Tackoor and his partners Don Lee and Tony Valentini. Justa Camilion (J.R. Plante) and Get Around Town (Bob McClure) rounded out the top three finishers.
Spartan Victory ($7) and driver Ryan Holliday won the matching trotting division in 2:00.1 with the only mare in the field, Torches Angel (Tyler Moore), following one and a quarter lengths behind and Winzel (Jonathan Drury) finishing third. Brad Pittock trains and owns the eight-year-old Hard Rock N Roll gelding, who now has back-to-back wins at Flamboro Downs.
