Race Track Ruler laid down stern fractions setting it up for Toucam Sam’s closing sling shot move, coming home in :27 to take the $35,000 Invitational Pace Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Toucam Sam gave driver Daniel Dube his fourth win of the evening after winning the tenth race of the night. Dube guided Toucam Sam to victory in 1:49.4 making this Toucam Sam’s second sub 1:50 mile and making him the fastest pacer of the month of January. Toucam Sam equals the mark of Nuclear Breeze pacing two sub 1:50 miles in the month of January. Nuclear Breeze accomplished the feat back in January of 2007. Toucam Sam paid $4.60, $3.00, and $2.60 after being bet down from 6-1 to 6-5.

Race Track Ruler (Brian Sears) remained sharp finishing just a length behind in second and it was a tight photo for show with Soul Chaser (David Miller) finishing third.

The six-year-old son of Cams Card Shark - Arizona Yankee is trained by Mark Kesmodel. Toucam Sam has now generated more than $370,000 in lifetime earnings for owner Larry Baron of Horsham, Pennsylvania.

Making the first start of his aged career, the Casie Coleman-trained Riggins romped to a new mark of 1:50.2 in the $27,500 Preferred Pace for four-year-olds.

Blueridge Western (Tim Tetrick) was the early leader, but Riggins moved first-up from third after the first quarter and the Art Major – Towners Image bay led the rest of the way under the guidance of David Miller.

Blueridge Western stayed for second and the favourite, Bettor Sweet (Cat Manzi), nabbed the show spot.

Riggins is a 10-time winner, who has earned $490,557 for Bulletproof Enterprises of Boca Raton, Florida.
