The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Crimestoppers are seeking information in regard to acts of breaking and entering and vandalism that have recently occurred at Truro Raceway barns and the local horsemen’s club.
According to an article by the Truro Daily News, barns and tack rooms at Truro Raceway were broken into and vandalized at some point during the late-night/early-morning hours between Monday (Jan. 28) and Tuesday (Jan. 29).
Horses were not hurt in the incidents, but doors were damaged, glass was broken, and a fire extinguisher was sprayed in the interior.
Investigators believe that the same culprits also broke into the Truro Horsemen’s Club by smashing through the glass front door. Liquor was subsequently stolen from the premises.
