Cam Patch won the $10,000 Open Pace in 2:03.1 in a blinding snowstorm to make it two Open wins in a row at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night.

Cam Patch ($5.30), driven by reinsman Shawn Gray, settled in seventh and last as eventual third place finisher Redford Hall (Kevin Cummings) cut all the fractions, :30.1, 1:00.4, and 1:32. Gray pulled Cam Patch to the outside just after the three-quarter marker and circled the field in the stretch to beat Golden Terror (Dan Noble) by three-quarters of a length at the finish line.

It was the second win this season for Cam Patch, a seven-year-old Cambest gelding out of the Falcon Seelster mare Miss A Kiss, who now has banked $161,531 lifetime. He is trained by Alex Giuliani for owners David P. Ball and Jerry R. Reinhart, both of Batavia New York.

Dan Noble was the top driver during the blustery night, steering home five winners. Noble’s winners were Bad As Billy ($19.00), Goochs Bad Boy ($3.70), Nineandivine ($3.40), Doodlebop ($2.40), and Terlingua ($7.10).
