A glut of letters, including one from Fraser Downs Racetrack, has led to the delay of a by-law amendment which could lead to the development of a proposed casino, hotel and convention centre in South Surrey, BC
, according to a report.
An article on bclocalnews.com states that during a public hearing on Monday, January 25, City Council decided to delay the third reading of the bylaw.
City clerk Jane Sullivan was quoted as saying that the council “needs more time to digest everything.”
The issue is now set to come back to council February 1.
