Saturday's harness racing card at Flamboro Downs turned into the Shepherd show as brothers, driver Robert and trainer Patrick, dominated the afternoon action.

Patrick, 21, a 2013 O'Brien Award nominee for the first ever Future Star Award, sent out back-to-back winners in the fourth and fifth races from his stable. J.R. Plante guided his first winner, five-year-old pacer Doing Some Damage ($19), over his older brother's mount Shadow Baran. The siblings joined forces to win the next race with six-year-old trotter Marlex Paid ($4.90).

Robert, 33, began a four-race win streak in the seventh race aboard 12-year-old trotter Putt Putt ($22.50) for conditioner Darren Rayner. He also scored with five-year-old pacer Honor Boy ($23.10) for Paul Belanger Jr., his own trainee four-year-old pacing mare Russian Kisses ($8.60), and his brother's seven-year-old trotting mare Tender N Kind ($3.10), who was a romping 10-1/4 length winner.

Robert later closed out the card with his sixth winner of the day, Dick Mctracy ($12.70), a five-year-old pacer trained by Mike Dowling.

Both Robert (22 driving wins) and Patrick (11 training wins) have cracked Canada's top 10 leaderboard for wins just over three weeks into the 2014 racing season.
