Lets Get Serious N lived up to his name winning the $23,000 Open Handicap Trot while Allmar Surprise also wired the field in the $16,000 Winners Over Trot on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Dover Downs.

George Dennis wasted no time getting Joe Muscara’s Lets Get Serious N into the lead and then never looked back, stopping the timer at 1:54.2, for his first win to go with two seconds in four tries in January.

The Sondon-Queen Charlotte 11-year-old former Down Under stand out, now trained by Jeff Clark, upped his career earnings to $594,015.

The betting favourite, Budster (Ron Pierce), was second best. Tigers Too Good (Dave Miller), the only four-year-old in the field, finished third.

Allmar Surprise dropped down from the Open ranks to score a wire-to-wire 1:55.2 victory in the $16,000 Winners Over Trot. Victor Kirby drove the Chris Giaccio-owned Angus Hall-Benita Victory mare to her second win in 2012. Kristal Dream (Dave Miller) was runner-up. Go Nano Go (Ron Pierce) took third money.
