Juno Nominee To Sing At O'Briens

Internationally acclaimed Canadian jazz artist Heather Bambrick will sing the Canadian and American National Anthems to kick off the 2017 O’Brien Awards Gala.

Heather Bambrick is a JUNO-nominated vocalist, voice actor, and broadcaster whose solo recordings have earned her international praise. Her latest single, You’ll Never Know received a 2017 JUNO Award nomination for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year and has been praised by several industry leaders, rising to the top of Canadian jazz radio charts. She’s been a guest vocalist for numerous recordings in various genres, from jazz vibraphone legend Peter Appleyard, to The Caliban Quartet of Bassoonists.

Heather has performed internationally with jazz ensembles and has been featured with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Bambrick is also one of Canada’s busiest voice actors, appearing on numerous commercial campaigns, as well as voicing characters on several Emmy-nominated animated series, including those for Disney, PBS, Comedy Network, and NBCKids. She is currently a regular voice on Award-winning animation series Wild Kratts.

She can also be heard weekly on JAZZ.FM91 as a radio host. A graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, Heather has taught at the University of Toronto and Humber College, and often works as an adjudicator at music festivals across Canada.
