Standardbred Canada is excited to announce that Tony & Betty Infilise’s Hudson Standardbred Stable is the official Gold Afterparty sponsor of the 35th O’Brien Awards.

“In this 35th anniversary year of the O’Brien Awards, and especially here in P.E.I., Tony and I are happy to support this great event as a Gold sponsor," said Betty Infilise. "We’ve found the Afterparty to be a fabulous way to extend the special night with industry friends who share a passion for our sport of harness racing and look forward to it.”

The event is set to unfold in the Malpeque Hall Ballroom immediately following the O'Brien Awards on Feb. 3 at the Delta by Marriott Prince Edward in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

Attendees of the 35th O'Brien Awards can anticipate a lively Afterparty brimming with live music until 2 a.m., complemented by a late night pizza station buffet.

Tony & Betty Infilise are the proud owners of the 2023 O'Brien Award finalist, Sylvia Hanover, in the Three-Year-Old Pacing Filly division.

Following a dominant freshman campaign in which she took home O’Brien Award honours, Sylvia Hanover came back just as good, and maybe even better, as a sophomore. The daughter of Always B Miki-Shyaway notched 10 wins in 13 starts at three while earning $839,375 and taking a record of 1:48.1 at The Red Mile for trainers Shawn and Mark Steacy. Her victories included the Fan Hanover, Mistletoe Shalee and Glen Garnsey stakes, prior to capping it all off with a score in the $600,000 Breeders Crown.

The last day to purchase O'Brien Award tickets is this Wednesday, Jan. 24. Tickets, priced at $150 + HST, can be ordered by reaching out to Jade Regina at [email protected] or 905-858-3060 x 207.
