Danish Brew Downs Rivals In Flamboro Feature

Danish Brew stayed perfect in 2026 as she doubled her yearly win total with another victory in the featured $9,500 conditioned trot at Flamboro Downs on Thursday, Jan. 22.

The daughter of Six Pack-Danish Darby did it much the same way as in her seasonal debut. Trainer-driver Nick Boyd sent her charging out of post four to put her on the lead as the field turned onto the backstretch for the first time. Danish Brew reached the quarter in :28.2 and got a soft second panel, reaching the half unopposed in :59.2.

Longshot Tencaratgold (Brady Galliers) moved out of sixth coming off the second turn but found no takers ahead of him and pressed on to challenge Danish Brew, racing at her shoulder at three-quarters in 1:29.2. Danish Brew dispatched that challenger at the top of the lane, then resisted pocket-tripping Tregaron (Jason Ryan) for the 1:59.3 victory. Kenogami Mat (Samuel Fillion) came off Tencaratgold’s back and passed him late for third.

Danish Brew tallied her ninth lifetime victory in 31 starts. The five-year-old has now earned $39,598 for Blair Burgess Stable of Campbellville, Ont., Davis Anderson of St. Thomas, Ont., and Stirling Fisher of Waterloo, Ont. She paid $6.10 to win.
