Five-year-old pacer Southwind Miata rolled to the front in her 13th race assignment tonight at Rideau Carleton Raceway showing no signs of hesitation in taking her fifth consecutive win.

The daughter of Camluck shot to the lead from Post 5 and pulled further and further away from her rivals as each panel passed her by. With Sandy Jones in tow, the post time favourite carved out fractions of :28.3, :59.2 and 1:28.2 en route to victory in 1:58.2.

Star Jimmy (Ted McDonald) finished over three lengths back in second and Shes Got Appeal (Stephane Brosseau) rounded out the top three.

John Macmillan trains and owns Southwind Miata, a 10-time winner who has banked over $80,000 in her career.
