On Wednesday, January 19 at Monticello Raceway driver Jim Marohn, Jr. won five races over an off track.
His victories came with Open Range (2:02:3, $5.70), Jon Win (2:01:1, $16.00), BWT Everytime (2:06.1, $4.80), Princess Q T Pie (2:02.3, $4.80) and Tremendous Hit (2:02.3, $22.20). His five wins came from seven steers on the card.
“I felt pretty good today,” said Marohn, who went on to state, “I won five races on a card a couple times, but never before at Monticello.”
Not looking to take much of the credit for his charge's performances, Marohn said, “There were tough conditions out there today, and the credit should go to the trainers who had their horses ready for it.”
