Brothers Simon and Rene Allard managed a driving and training three-bagger on a bitter cold Thursday night of harness racing at Woodbine Racetrack.

The Allards were held off the score sheet for the first half of the card but their presence was felt in the back half, winning Race 7 with Rods Famous Ribs (1:52.2, $5.00), Race 8 with Kashas Kid (1:55.4, $4.80) and the nightcap in Race 11 with Hazel Eyes (1:53.1, $3.10). Of those horses, only Hazel Eyes will start next from the Allard barn. Casie Coleman claimed Rods Famous Ribs and Jeff Gillis claimed Kashas Kid.

Rene Allard was Canada's leading dash winning trainer in 2010, while Simon Allard told Trot Insider earlier this week that he would focus on the WEG circuit in 2011.
