Regardless of your political affiliation, it’s nice to know there is a United States senator who knows and has an appreciation for harness racing.

Scott Brown upset Martha Coakley to score a once-in-a-lifetime win for republicans in traditionally democratic Massachusetts in yesterday’s special election

The election was taking place to replace the late Ted Kennedy.

Brown has driven a winner in a charity race at Plainridge, and his youngest daughter, Arianna, has been part owner of a trotter.
