Wehadababyetzaboy Sweeps Field In Dover Feature

Wehadababyetzaboy went from last to first in the final half to score the victory in the $39,855 Blue Hen Handicap on Thursday, Jan. 2 at Bally's Dover.

Wehadababyetzaboy and driver Jason Green could see them all on the first turn, getting away eighth from post six while Adam Twelve (Troy Beyer) cut the quarter in :26.3. Leave It To Leo (Tim Tetrick) took command before a quick half of :54.3 before marching to three-quarters in 1:23.2 while Wehadababyetzaboy moved into striking distance from third over off the hot pace.

Turning for home, Wehadababyetzaboy towered four-wide and moved towards the lead at the top of the lane. From there, he outsprinted Itsrockandroll A (Allan Davis) to score by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:53. Itsrockandroll A finished second and Adam Twelve got up for third.

The six-year-old gelded son of Sweet Lou-Camille is owned by Evm Racing LLC of Middletown, Delaware. Chuck Crissman Jr. trains the winner and Jason Green drove. 

Wehadababyetzaboy paid $19.40 for the upset victory.

There is a Pick 4 carryover of $2,405 USD for Monday, Jan. 6. Racing continues at Bally’s Dover Monday through Thursday. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
