Driver Jody Jamieson catapulted himself to the top of the leaderboard at Flamboro Downs after reining home winners in half of Saturday afternoon's 12 races.
With his six victories, Jamieson now holds a slight three-win lead at the Dundas half-mile oval just three weeks into the 2013 racing season. Scott Coulter and Robert Shepherd are tied for second with 12 victories each.
The 26-year-old resident of Moffat, Ont. kicked off the program with a win aboard Bluebird Creek ($7.70) for trainer Andrew McCabe and followed it up with another in the third race in rein to the repeating Molly Baran ($22.10) for conditioner Doug Schweitzer. Both winners defeated the race favourites in a pair of close finishes.
Jamieson also won the fifth race with the George McClure-trained trotter Strike Action ($8.50). He later prevailed in another close finish with favourite Ruff Me Up ($4.50) in the eighth race for conditioner Joseph Cirasuola.
Jamieson concluded his winning crusade with a pair of triumphs in the 10th and 11th races. Alan Fair's back-to-back winner Whatabadgirl ($3) and Bill Davis trainee Gracie Montana ($17.40) completed his six-pack.
Jamieson now boasts 6,422 wins on his resume with purse earnings of more than $96.58 million.
