Misty Moonstone played a little role reversal with Western Fair Raceway's reigning Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace champion Hi Maintenancechic in this week's $12,000 edition

Misty Moonstone chased home upsetter Hi Maintenancechic in last week's top class for the mares, but missed the mark three-quarters of a length. This week, however, it was the roan mare's time to shine.

In Wednesday's pacing feature, Misty Moonstone and trainer-driver Peter Core followed the lead of Call Me Yours through fractions of :27.4, :58.3, and 1:27.3. Meanwhile, early breaker Mach Me Not recovered and applied first over pressure, but eventually backed away from the leader into the final turn while Jinglejanglejingle went three-wide. Misty Moonstone made her move in the stretch and rallied home to win by three-quarters of a length with Hi Maintenancechic chasing her to the wire in 1:57.1. Jinglejanglejingle took third prize.

The win was Misty Moonstone's 18th lifetime and pushed her career bankroll to $284,847. The 4-1 fourth choice returned $11.70 to her backers.

Donald and Heather McGregor of Camlachie, Ont. own the five-year-old daughter of Astreos and Access Hollywood.

In other action, Douglas Lovely kept his perfect 2012 training average in tact when his homebred mare O See My Life romped to her third straight win earlier on the card. Driven by Trevor Henry, the four-year-old Life Sign-O See My Bo miss won by over six lengths in 1:58.2, recording her fastest mile in pari-mutuel action. Elmer Jorgenson shares ownership of the $44,231 earner with Lovely.
