Over 300 horses went through the ring during Monday’s 2011 January Select Mixed Sale at the Meadowlands

, with City Delight topping the auction.

"There was a good crowd and we're quite satisfied with the results," Geoff Stein, Sale General Manager told Trot Insider.

A strong Canadian dollar also lured buyers from north of the border to head stateside with Stein noting that trainers such as Ben Baillargeon and Ben Wallace were "very active."

The sale grossed $4.7 million providing an average of $18,432.
