Did It Again Delivers Again

Did It Again lived up to his name thanks to a narrow score in Sunday’s $12,100 Preferred Pace at Rideau

Carleton Raceway. It was the fourth consecutive win for the pacer, and his second triumph in as many tries since being claimed by owner/trainer Jamie Copley of Greely, Ontario.

Copley claimed the five-year-old son of Western Hanover for $25,000 on December 28, 2009 at Woodbine Racetrack, and the investment has proved to be a wise one.

With Stephane Gendron at the helm, Did It Again found himself parked to the quarter pole in :27.2 before being released to the lead. Once in charge of the tempo he had the field lined up through middle splits of :57.1 and 1:25 before coming under heavy pressure from Priceless Edition.

That rival pressed Did It Again to the limit all the way to the wire, but the leader couldn’t be chased down. He held on to win by a nose over a very determined Priceless Edition, who settled for the runner-up award. The show dough went to Bolero Trisco.

Sent off as the 1-2 choice in the seven-horse tilt, Did It Again won for the 11th time in his career while pushing his overall earnings to $108,172.
