The winning streak is now two in a row and counting for Country Delight, who jumped up to the Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 class and sailed to an easy win Thursday evening at Flamboro Downs.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, Country Delight charged to the lead for driver Paul MacKenzie and led the field through fractions of :28.3, :59.3 and 1:29.2 before using a :30.3 closing quarter to win by a pair of lengths over Bestulldotanite in 2:00. Third went to Tigra Seelster.

Mike Sinclair trains the five-year-old daughter of American Ideal-Matilda Hall for owner James Frandsen of Nichols, New York, and together they watched the mare improve this year’s record to 2-1-0 from three starts with the win. The five-time winner bumped her overall cash stash to $46,724 in the process.
