Meadowlands Racetrack will host a new cooking competition, The Saucy Smack Down, featuring delicious sauces and lively race action next month.
Think you make the best Sunday gravy, red sauce, marinara or other specialty sauce? Enter The Saucy Smack Down at Meadowlands Racetrack on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Not a cook? Enjoy free samples and cast your vote in the People's Choice award, beginning at 7 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Sunday Gravy Gauntlet, Red Sauce Rumble and Sauce Your Way (any sauce of your choice, including but not limited to vodka, pesto an alfredo). The grand prize award for each category is $500 USD, with $250 USD awarded for second place and $100 USD for third place. The People’s Choice award winner will receive a $250 USD grand prize.
