A field of eight, all with African-American drivers, will go to post on Friday, January 15th in the second annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Pace at Freehold Raceway

Carded as the fifth race, the event has drawn drivers from New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
The participating drivers from Delaware include Montrell Teague, George Polk, Jr. and Deshawn Sample, who won the inaugural edition last year.
Coming in from New York are General Washington, Jr., along with his son Cedric Washington, and Don Simmonds. The local are will be represented by Yogi Sheridan and Dennis Watson.
The race in question is a $4,000 claimer and carries a purse of $3,000. Devils Grin has been installed as the 3-1 morning-line favourite with Teague, the 19-year-old, up-and-coming talent, in the driver’s seat.
