Judge Bob wired a field of Junior Open Trotters at Dover Downs on Tuesday night (Jan. 11).

With temperatures in the teens, Judge Bob and the field braved the freezing elements.

Judge Bob and driver Tim Tetrick had the hammer down. They left from post 6 but were parked to the opening quarter in a rapid :27.3

Stealing and driver Jason Thompson parked Judge Bob to the quarter, then retreated to the pocket. Whimzical Chapter got away third. Judge Bob, who dominated the trotters on the Maryland circuit throughout the year, backed off the half in :57.2. Then, driver Tim Tetrick buzzed the three-quarters in an uncontested 1:25.4. In the stretch, Stealing vacated the pocket and was charging home to only run out of real estate.

Judge Bob won by a diminished neck in 1:54.3 and paid $12.80 to his backers.

Judge Bob (Great George Two-Endorphan Annie-Enjoy Lavec) is owned by Megan Roberts of Md. and Graham Grace Stables LLC of Va. Megan Roberts trained. She is the daughter of long-time area horsemen William "Bib" Roberts.

Stealing closed stoutly to finish second for trainer Crissy Crissman Bier. Jason Thompson drove. Whimzical Chapter was third for trainer Josh Green. Simon Allard drove.

Corey Callahan posted a driving triple on the night. Wednesday’s 12th race will be the Mares Open Pace featuring Soho Burning Love A, So Miki Hanover and She’s Pukka N.

Post Time for Dover Downs is 4:30 p.m. (EST).
