Pinner toted a seven-race winning streak into Saturday’s feature race at the Charlottetown Driving Park, and much to the delight of the favourite players in attendance he had little trouble extending the streak to eight-in-a-row.

Departing from Post 3 for driver Marc Campbell, Pinner took over command shortly past the quarter pole and led the field through panels of :59.2 and 1:30.1 before using a :28.4 closing quarter to win by a length in 1:59. Miracle Matts, who was treated to a two-hole trip, was second best while Cambest Kisser took home third prize in the $2,000 tilt.

Sent off as the 2-5 favourite in the six-horse affair, the eight-year-old son of Mach Three-Dexter Doll won for the 34th time in his career for the Ladners – Brian, Kevin and Lillian – of Charlottetown, PEI. The pacer recently surpassed $200,000 in lifetime earnings.
