Headed by his stablemate around the far turn, Biletnikoff fought back in the lane to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows
in a sharp 1:51.2.
Biletnikoff cut the fractions but appeared ready to yield to the first-over Jojo N Goliath. Under Aaron Merriman’s urging, the eight-year-old Keystone Raider-Strikadeeze gelding rallied to edge Jojo N Goliath by a neck, with Full Of Sand third.
The finish gave trainer Paul Kennedy an exacta sweep. Markus Ernst owns Biletnikoff, who extended his career bankroll to $663,426.
Merriman and Dave Palone each drove three winners on the 15-race program.
