over the Philadelphia Eagles, but Sunday belonged to another Romo who enjoyed a productive day at Truro Raceway.
Veteran trainer/driver Danny Romo made his to the winner’s circle on three occasions with horses from his stable during Sunday’s 12-race program at the Nova Scotia half-mile oval.
Cluck Hanover got the ball rolling thanks to his 2:01.2 tally in Race 7 for Romo, who also won with MD Hardlys Success (2:00.2) in Race 10 and Dreams Matter (2:00.1) in Race 11.
The Shubenacadie, NS horseman, who has racked up 3,379 driving victories throughout his career surpassed the $5 million mark in career earnings last season. As a trainer, his starters have banked over $100,000 in each of the last four seasons. He has sent out winners in excess of $1.8 million to date.
