Teaming up with Phil Hudon for the first time and making his Flamboro Downs debut on the first night of the New Year, J Js Delivery was victorious for his new connections in the $11,000 Preferred 2 Pace.

Woodbine invader J Js Delivery left out from post three just enough to secure a position in third while inside starter Newbie (Billy Davis Jr.) and favourite Sir Galahad (Bob McClure) battled for the lead through a :26.4 opening quarter in the evening's feature. Once those two settled in line, J Js Delivery swept to the top and hit the half in :55. He gained a large lead on the way to three-quarters in 1:22.4 as the early speedsters faded into the distance and stretched his margin to six and a half lengths by the wire in 1:52.1.

The winner paid $6.70 as the 9-5 second choice. Windsong Leo (Daniel O'Brian) closed inside for the runner-up role and Paparazzi Hanover (Travis Cullen) finished third.

J Js Delivery was claimed for $18,750 after his December 19 victory at Woodbine Racetrack by trainer Robert McMillan of Beaverton, Ont., and David Glazer of Saint Laurent, Que.

The five-year-old Jeremes Jet-Table For Seven gelding earned his 11th career win and bumped his bankroll to $249,646.

A pair of $7,500 Preferred 3s ended in close finishes with passing lane pursuer Senior Market (Michael Whelan) prevailing by half a length in 1:54.4 for trainer Rebecca Titus and pacesetter Flaherty (Paul MacKenzie) holding on by a head in 1:55.1 for the Bill Budd stable.
