Standardbred Canada hosted a special welcome luncheon at the Airport Marriott Hotel for all of the participants in the TROT Canada National Handicapping Championship as well as their guests earlier this afternoon.
The room was a buzz with excitement as contest officials also made that all-important announcement regarding the mandatory races.
The following are the ten mandatory races that participants must place wagers on:
Track - Race # - POST TIME
WESTERN FAIR - 1 - 7:05
WOODBINE - 1 - 7:30
WOODBINE - 2 - 7:51
GEORGIAN - 3 - 8:05
WESTERN FAIR - 6 - 8:35
WOODBINE - 5 - 8:54
WESTERN FAIR - 9 - 9:29
GEORGIAN - 8 - 9:45
WOODBINE - 8 - 9:57
FRASER - 1 - 10:00
In addition to these 10 mandatory races, participants will be able to select 10 optional races (which must be different) from Woodbine, Georgian, Western Fair and Fraser Downs. The only stipulation is that post time must be scheduled prior to 11 p.m. and they must be different than the optional races.
Participants will travel to Woodbine around 5:00 p.m. for final preparations for the TROT Canada National Handicapping Championship.
