Standardbred Canada will host the pilot edition of the New Owners Orientation Program at Mohawk Racetrack on Saturday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This workshop is available to new SC members (within the past year) free of charge.
The objective of this program is to assist new owners in their initial stages of ownership and to provide valuable information and resources that may help owners to have a successful, rewarding, and enjoyable experience as a horse owner.
Some of the topic covered will include: overview and role of Standardbred Canada and other harness racing associations; accounting and taxation as they apply to harness horse ownership, the rights and expectations of owners, and more.
