Kawartha Downs has announced that on Saturday, October 18 it will be hosting 'Think Pink' Night At The Races, a fundraising evening in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
On hand to help with celebrations will be a return visit by the Mildred Williams International Driving Series featuring women harness drivers from various parts of Canada and the U.S.
That night all ladies entering the track will receive a pink carnation, there will also be live music and draw prizes (ladies only please). Patrons are invited to make donations as the CBCF will have people on site.
In the spirit of giving, for the third consecutive year Kawartha Downs will have the 'Time Breaker Challenge' in place for all races on the card. For each dash where the winning horse beats the time assigned to that race, Kawartha Downs will donate $1,000 to the CBCF.
A special buffet dinner will be offered in the dining room at a cost $50 per person, of which $20 will go to CBCF.
