Evergreen Park recently held a Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship qualifying round. The fun-filled event had over 60 entries and was a resounding success, with Barry Haidey being crowned the winner.
Haidey battled it out and won the contest by a nose. His payout was $30.60, just ahead of the second-place finisher who had a final payout of $30.30. Haidey has won himself a seat at the TCNHC Championship round with a 1 in 50 shot at the $25,000 grand prize.
Also included in Haidey's prize package is a two-night stay at the beautiful Airport Marriott and transportation to and from the competition at Woodbine Racetrack.
