Grand River Raceway and the OLG Slots at Grand River will celebrate its five-year anniversary this Saturday, December 6.

The facility will host a full day of festivities, including an anniversary party in the Lighthouse Restaurant. Speeches will be made at 3:30 p.m., but race participants, staff, patrons, suppliers and other friends are invited to drop-in any time from 2:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m.

The OLG Slots at Grand River will also offer several anniversary promotions in the main building on Saturday.

Grand River Raceway officially opened its doors on December 6, 2003 after relocating from the now defunct Elmira Raceway. The $30 million facility, located in the charming village of Elora, ON, hosted its first day of racing on April 26, 2004.

Grand River Raceway is owned and operated by the Grand River Agricultural Society — a not-for-profit corporation incorporated under the Agricultural Societies Act of Ontario and operated by a volunteer board of directors.
