The Ontario Harness Horse Association released the following notice to the industry regarding the contract negotiations with the Woodbine Entertainment Group.
OHHA continues to be ready and willing to resume the contract negotiations with WEG in order to finalize a racing contract. OHHA has repeatedly requested to WEG that negotiations resume. WEG has recently not been willing to do so, and has publicly stated that it has broken off negotiations.
WEG raised a concern about a communication sent by OHHA regarding the slot program funds. OHHA has clarified its position on this point in order to address and resolve WEG’s concern.
