Last year's Massachusetts Breeders Stakes sophomore trotting colt champion Pepper Wow took full advantage of a covered trip to score his first Open-level victory at Plainridge Park on Friday, Oct. 17.

A pair of upper-level conditioned events, each valued at $27,397, topped the bill at Plainridge Park on Thursday, Sept. 4, and both winners made fast finishes from off the pace.

The $1.78 million finals of the Massachusetts Breeders Stakes was held on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Plainridge Park and records of all sorts were rewritten throughout the afternoon program.
