MD Senate Pres. Holds Racino Hope

An article by The Washington Post has cited Maryland Senate President Thomas Mike Miller Jr. as saying that he would still like to receive bids in regard to possible racino expansion at either Rosecroft Raceway or at the shopping, dining and conference development known as the National Harbour.

“I would prefer competitive bidding and choice,” the article has quoted Miller as saying. “Both sites have different positives. ... I personally don’t have a preference. I just want the county executive to weigh in after all the facts are known.”

Miller's comments came after Rushern L. Baker II, an executive within Prince George County, stated he supported the idea of having the expansion come to the National Harbour instead of at Rosecroft.
