Standardbred Canada Stakes Payments Due February 15

Standardbred Canada would like to remind horsemen that stakes payments are due on or before Monday, February 15, 2010.

Please note that February 15, 2010 is a holiday in Ontario (Family Day), and the main Standardbred Canada office will be closed. If you have any inquiries about the February 15 stakes payments please inquire before that date.

WEG Stakes Payment Reminder

With the calendar now turned to February, Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to remind all horse owners and trainers that nominations for its major stakes events, including the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup and the $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic, close Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

Also, sustaining payments are due for the 2010 Simcoe, Simcoe Filly and SBOA stakes events for three-year-olds.

Western Fair February 15 Stakes Deadline

Western Fair Raceway would like to remind horsepeople of the approaching February 15, 2010 deadline for several of its major stakes events, including its signature race, the Molson Pace, worth a minimum of $225,000.

Dream Of Glory Nominations Due February 15

Hanover Raceway would like to remind all owners and trainers that the nomination fee for the Dream Of Glory Stakes are due Monday, February 15, 2010.

NJSS Payments Due February 15

The February 15 deadline for New Jersey Sire Stakes first sustaining payments is the last chance for owners of NJ-sired two-year-old and three-year-old trotters and pacers to be kept eligible to the lucrative 2010 Premier and Green Acres racing programs.

NYSS Payments Due February 15

The New York Sire Stakes would like to remind horsemen that continuation payments are due February 15, 2010. These payments are required to be eligible to race in the 2010 NYSS season.

Rideau Payments Due

A $1000.00 nomination fee for the $170,000 (est.) Des Smith Classic Pace and the $170,000 (est.) Frank Ryan Memorial Trot are due no later than February 15th, 2010. Both are Open events. Again this year after the February 15 nomination payment there will be only one sustaining payment, due March 15.

New for this year, no eliminations - both races will be limited to 10 horses. If more than 10 declare, only the 10 top horses with the highest 2010 earnings at the time the entry box closes will race. Any horse that nominates and sustains to either race and declares and doesn't get to race in either event will be have their nomination and sustaining payments refunded. Nominations Due For Flamboro & Georgian Stakes

Horsemen are reminded that nomination payments are due on February 15, 2010 for Flamboro Downs' Confederation Cup and Bud Light Stakes (3 yo) as well as Georgian Downs' Upper Canada Cup and The Earl Rowe Memorial Trot.

OSS Payment Deadline Approaching

The Ontario Sires Stakes administration would like to remind everyone that the deadline for OSS three-year-old sustaining payments is fast approaching.

Many Hambo Society-Serviced Stakes Payments Due

The first payment deadline for eligibility to more than 100 stakes events, headlined by the $1.7 million Hambletonian, is fast approaching.

Since February 15 falls on a federal holiday with no mail delivery, payments for all Hambletonian Society-serviced stakes must be postmarked by midnight on Wednesday, February 17 per USTA rule 12, section 4.

Balmoral, Maywood Delay Stakes Payments

Balmoral Park and Maywood Park have announced that all February 15 stakes nominations have been moved back one month and will now be due on March 15. The stakes affected will include all aged stakes events and both tracks' three-year-old events for both open and Illinois-conceived and foaled pacers and trotters.

Nominations Close Monday For Big M Stakes

Nominations for Meadowlands Racetrack's spring and summer stakes program, including the $1 million Meadowlands Pace, are due Monday, February 15.

Final Hoosier Cup Sustaining Payment Due

The final sustaining payment for the 2010 $500,000-est. Hoosier Cup held at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino Saturday, May 29 is due Monday, February 15. All payments for the event should be sent to the Hambletonian Society, Inc.
