STANDARDBRED CANADA’S APRIL 15 PAYMENT REMINDER

Standardbred Canada would like to remind owners and trainers that the April 15 stakes payment due date is quickly approaching.

Envelopes must be clearly postmarked on or before Monday, April 15, 2019 to be accepted, despite the inadequacies of the postal system.

Stakes payments can be paid with debit or credit card using SC Stakes Online. A video tutorial is available to help you get started.

Payment information and stakes conditions can be viewed on the Online Stakes Guide by clicking here or on the name of each stakes race.

If you did not receive notification of payment, a generic stakes form can be used to submit payments by mail. It can be located by clicking here.

PRIX D'ETE PAYMENTS DUE APRIL 15

This weekend, the second payment will be due for this year’s edition of the $200,000 Prix d’Ete.

The Prix d’Ete is for four-year-old pacers and will be contested at Hippodrome 3R. The race will be contested on Sunday, August 18.

The second payment must be postmarked by Monday, April 15.

There was a record 40 horses nominated to the 2019 Prix d’Ete. All sustaining payments must be made in order for the nominated horses to remain eligible. There are no supplemental payments allowed for the Prix d’Ete.

YONKERS’ SHEPPARD PACE NOMINATIONS CLOSE MONDAY

Yonkers Raceway’s Lawrence B. Sheppard Pace, for two-year-old colts and geldings, has nominations closing this Monday (April 15), with a sustaining payment due May 15.

The race offers a $100,000 (est.) final Saturday, July 13th, a week after the scheduled eliminations.

NJ SIRE STAKES PAYMENTS DUE APRIL 15

The deadline for the New Jersey Sire Stakes and Standardbred Development Fund’s final sustaining payments is Monday, April 15, 2019.

The NJSS Premier Division’s second sustaining payment remains at $500 for both two-year-olds and three-year-olds. The Standardbred Development Fund second sustaining payment for both two-year-olds and three-year-olds continues to be $150.

Sustaining payment and supplemental nomination forms, as well as race dates and other information, may be found on the NJSS website (newjerseysirestakes.com).

All payments must be in U.S. funds. No late payments will be accepted and no billing notices will be mailed. Certified mail is strongly recommended to NJSS, P.O. Box 330, Trenton, NJ 08625.

APRIL NOMINATION PAYMENTS DUE IN IOWA

The second payment for 2019 Iowa-foaled and registered nominations is due Monday (April 15).

Payment forms are available under the ‘forms’ tab on the Iowa Harness Horseman’s Association website.
