PEI Trainer Heading To New Jersey
Jay Noye of Pleasant Valley, P.E.I. picked eight of 10 winners in this past weekend’s World Harness Handicapping Championship Online Qualifier for members of the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club.
Those eight winners combined to give him a bankroll of $53.10 and that was enough to put him at the top of the charts of 279 players.
Noye will head to The Meadowlands at the end of April to take a crack at the $20,000 first prize in the 2016 WHHC. Noye and his wife, Mary Jean own and train Standardbreds. They also help out with the PEI Matinee Racing Program. Noye has been training Standardbreds for about 10 years and currently has three horses in training. He works full-time as a Graphic Artist / Web Designer.
Noye has made a few trips to The Meadowlands and admits that his wife is his good luck charm. Canada’s Horse of the Year for 2015, State Treasurer is his favourite horse and Randy Waples gets the nod as his favourite driver.
