Muscle Mass Returns To Ontario
Kentuckiana Stallion Management is excited to announce that leading Ontario stallion and former World Champion Muscle Mass will stand the 2016 breeding season at Tara Hills Stud, located in Port Perry, Ontario.
Kentuckiana Farms will continue to serve as Syndicate Manager and along with Tara Hills Stud will manage his breeding career.
With four crops of racing age, Muscle Mass (Muscles Yankee-Graceful Touch) has established himself as the leading trotting sire in Ontario. Muscle Mass was the leading first crop sire of Ontario Sires Stakes winners in 2012 and followed it up with spectacular years in 2013 and 2014 as the leading Ontario sire of two-year-old trotters in overall earnings, also being the overall leading trotting sire in 2014.
This season, Muscle Mass continues his championship ways as the current overall OSS leading sire. Muscle Mass is the sire of multiple Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Champions including Riveting Rosie ($956,583), Motown Muscle ($460,433), Muscle Matters ($407,692), and Muscle Baby Doll ($407,577), to name a few.
“We are extremely excited to bring Muscle Mass back to Ontario. He is a premier young stallion that has consistently shown that he can sire champions. His ability to cross with a wide variety of mares is proven by the numbers,” says David Heffering, owner of Tara Hills Stud.
Muscle Mass retired to stud duty as the fastest two-year-old son of super-sire Muscles Yankee having established his world-record mark of 1:53.4 in only his second career start. Muscle Mass won five major stakes in an undefeated season at 2 winning all seven of his starts, including back-to-back wins in Lexington and a 10-length, track and stakes record in the American-National.
