Retired Standardbred Stands Tall
Retired Standardbred Rum Tuff Customer posed for 18 winner’s circle photos over the course of his 90-race career, but he may not be prouder of the picture he posed for on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1.
Robyn Crowe, who was recently announced as the new executive director of the Nova Scotia Harness Racing Industry Association, has told Trot Insider that the 10-year-old gelding had been asked to participate in some Canada Day events.
Rum Tuff Customer, who is a son of A Stud Named Sue, is now an endurance horse, and he was standing tall and proud on Wednesday during activities promoting the upcoming RCMP musical ride.
“He was at Victoria Park in Truro yesterday and was ridden by an officer who is part of the ride,” Crowe told Trot Insider. “They shipped the tack from Ottawa as well.”
