Fredericton, Inverness Qualifying Details

Trot Insider has learned that the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission has approved upcoming qualifying sessions for both Inverness Raceway and Fredericton Raceway.

The MPHRC has approved Inverness qualifying sessions for Wednesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 24. First-race post time for each session will be 6 p.m.

In terms of Fredericton, the track will hold qualifying sessions on Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. (the entry box will close on Friday, June 19 at 9 a.m.) and on Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. (the entry box will close on Wednesday, June 24 at 2 p.m.).

Also, Horse Racing New Brunswick Executive Director Roberta Nixon has informed Trot Insider that, as per discussions / decisions earlier this year, entry fees for the qualifying sessions have been waived.

Standardbred Canada would also like to remind area horsepeople that a Standardbred Canada field representative will be present at the qualifying sessions to conduct business.

Standardbred Canada would like to remind all horsepeople that all memberships and eligibility fees need to be paid. Additionally, name changes need to be made before a horse ever qualifies. Coggins tests are required as set out in the rules in your racing jurisdiction.
