Fan Club Handicapping Challenge

Here’s your last chance to win your way into the 2015 World Harness Handicapping Championship through the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club.

Circle Friday, March 27 on your calendar! The Fan Club is having a FAN-TASTIC FRIDAY online handicapping challenge and the winner will earn a spot in this year’s World Harness Handicapping Championship featuring an estimated prize pool of $50,000. The WHHC is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at The Meadowlands and the winner will receive a cheque in the amount of $20,000 (est) ! The top ten finishers will share in the prize money.

Your task is to handicap the triactors for race 7 for the three Canadian Standardbred racetracks that race on Friday, March 27 –- Fraser Downs, The Raceway at Western Fair District and Woodbine Racetrack. The contest will open for entries on Tuesday, March 24.

Fan-Tastic Friday Online Handicapping Challenge Terms and Conditions

1. The Standardbred Canada (SC) Fan Club Fan-tastic Friday Challenge will be conducted on Friday, March 27, 2015. The contest will open on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 once the official entries for the racetracks are available and close at 5:00 p.m. (est) on the contest day. No purchase is necessary.

There is no cost to register. Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration, is an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club member and has Internet access at time of registration. The contest is void in whole where prohibited by law.

2. The contest will close for entries at 5:00 p.m. EST on contest day, Friday, March 27.

3. The winner will be the person who has the highest bankroll based on the official payouts for the three triactors in the competition.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be the person who provides the number that is closest to the combined handle of the three racetracks.

In the event that all contest players end up with a 0 bankroll after the contest races, the winner will be the person who selects the highest number of horses in the correct finishing order in the three triactors in the contest.

In the event of a scratch, you will be assigned the post time favourite. (if that horse is already included in your triactor, then the next favourite will be assigned, etc.)

4. The winner will be contacted via e-mail at the e-mail address or phone number provided on the entry form.

5. Up to three entries for the contest will be accepted per individual and e-mail address. Additional contest entries are available to a player if he/she shares the contest link provided through the SC's facebook account on Facebook or retweets the contest link from @trotinsider on Twitter.

SC reserves the right to disqualify any contestant which SC believes has submitted more than three entries. Submissions with incomplete, bogus or invalid names and/or e-mail addresses will not be accepted.

6. Employees, Directors and immediate family who reside at the same residence as Standardbred Canada, The Meadowlands or any provincial racing commission employees are not eligible for this contest.

7. No faxed, mailed, electronically mailed, or phoned-in entries are allowed.

8. SC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, ineligible or mutilated entries. SC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable hardware or software or telephone transmission or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmission or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of SC and will not be returned.

9. SC reserves the sole right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this contest.

10. Anything not covered in these rules will be ruled on by the management of SC and their decision will be final and binding.

11. Contestants, by entering the contest, agree to be bound by the above rules and regulations.

12. The winner of the contest on March 27 will be awarded a spot in the World Harness Handicapping Championship on April 25, 2015 at The Meadowlands. In addition a travel voucher of $500 for the finisher will be provided. The prize is NOT transferable. In the event that the first place finisher can not attend, then the prize will be offered to the second place finisher.
