EquiLottery Official To Address Senate
Officials with EquiLottery have announced that the company’s CEO, Brad Cummings, will be speaking in Kentucky on Tuesday, February 10 in front of the Senate Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee in regard to SB74, the Senate bill that calls for the alteration of existing state lottery laws to allow a ‘shared lottery game.’
The bill supports a lottery game like EquiLottery based on the outcome of live horse racing. The discussion will take place at 10 a.m. in Room 169 of the Capitol Annex and is open to the general public.
The bill’s sponsor, Sen. Julie Raque Adams (R – Louisville), will also testify on behalf of the bill along with several leaders from Kentucky’s signature horse industry.
The EquiLottery release also states that a grassroots effort to raise the profile of SB74 has taken place, with over 12,000 emails sent to leaders in Frankfort in support of the bill since February 3. EquiLottery was previously presented in front of a joint House and Senate Licensing and Occupations committee meeting last September at the historic Keeneland Race Course.
