The four-year-old son of Badlands Hanover-Frankly Annie ripped through panels of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:26 before scooting home in :29.2 to stop the teletimer in 1:55.2. Astute came first-over and held on for the runner-up award, while I C D Moolah finished third.
Paul MacKenzie of Puslinch, Ontario owns, trains and guided the pacer to the win. The tally improved this year’s record to 3-4-2 from 18 trips postward and the lion’s share of the purse boosted his bankroll to $66,499.
