NPSE, Colwell To Meet Wednesday
It has been reported that the Board of the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Commission is scheduled to meet with Nova Scotia Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell on Wednesday (Feb. 12).
An article by the Truro Daily News has quoted NSPE Board Chairman Bruce Kennedy as saying that the board is not presuming anything in terms of what will be outcome of the meeting may be.
“Now, we as a board, wait to see what his (Minister Colwell’s) plan is,” Kennedy was quoted as saying, adding, “You don’t know what is waiting for you. It’s a guessing game and at this particular time, with what’s gone on, I’d hate to speculate anything.”
Minister Colwell has gone on the record as promising that day-to-day operations will be business as usual until a long-term management structure can be put in place.
In regard to Minister Colwell, Kennedy was quoted as saying, “He seems to be of the mood that (business as usual, for now) would be positive for every possible scenario. And I’m anticipating that if that’s that mood then I’m hoping that becomes reality. Because we all could use that.”
