Kennedy On NPSE Situation
Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Commission Chairman Bruce Kennedy has gone on the record as saying that he hopes operations at the exhibition, which includes Truro Raceway, will continue as normal, for now.
Kennedy’s comments come in light of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board calling its loan to the NPSE Commission and thus taken possession of the commission’s properties and assets.
"Hopefully everything will quickly get resolved and we'll get more information and more assurance that we are going to be here for the long term," Kennedy has been quoted as saying in an article by the CBC.
Via release earlier this week, Nova Scotia Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell said, "We recognize the importance of the exhibition and its facilities to the Truro-Bible Hill community. Steps will be taken to ensure operation and facilities are properly maintained in the interim. For those who use the exhibition's facilities, it will be business as usual for the time being."
